Blueprint for College Success is dedicated to helping families and students navigate the transition to college life in Boston. We understand that emotional health is essential for academic success; students who manage stress, anxiety, and emotional challenges effectively are more likely to excel in their studies and enjoy a fulfilling college experience. Our program offers comprehensive support tailored to the unique needs of students, ensuring they thrive both emotionally and academically in Boston’s dynamic academic environment.
Personalized Transition Plans: Customized blueprint designed to support students' success in college, with a focus on academic preparedness, building strong peer connections, and enhancing emotional well-being
Family Support Services: Resources and guidance for families to support their students’ success from afar
Academic Coaching: Development of effective time management, study techniques, and organizational skills to manage the demands of academic life
Mental Health and Wellness: Counseling services to help students manage stress, build resilience, self-advocacy skills and develop healthy coping mechanisms. Students will learn coping skills for problem-solving, managing difficult or intense emotions, stress management, and self-care
Highlights
Students enrolled in the Blueprint for College Success will receive ongoing coaching to help them build and refine their personal "blueprint" for academic and emotional success. With weekly wellness check-ins, coping skills development, and strategies for time management and study habits, students will be guided in constructing a solid foundation for their college journey. Additionally, parent support is available to help families stay connected and involved as their student works on their unique blueprint for thriving in college.
Semester Schedule:
Ten, 45-minute virtual sessions with college student focused on targeted areas of support
Weekly check-ins via text and email to monitor plan and troubleshoot
Parent coaching and updates are available based on the preferences and availability of both the student and the family. Communication can be customized to suit the needs of those involved, ensuring that parents stay informed and engaged in their student's progress.
Additional student and/or parent sessions as needed or requested, available upon request for an additional cost.
College Blueprint
Working with Dr. Dolce
Dr. Christina Dolce, a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience working with college-age students, leads the Blueprint for College Success program. Dr. Dolce’s distinguished career includes work at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brown University, McLean Hospital, and Harvard Medical School, where she has honed her expertise in supporting young adults and college students. She specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), offering a robust foundation for addressing both emotional and academic challenges. Dr. Dolce has worked with students from top universities, including Harvard College, Brown University, Dartmouth College, Northeastern University, Boston College, and Boston University. She is committed to empowering students to achieve both academic and personal success.
How to Apply and Fees
Enrollment is limited to a small number of families each semester. Fee per semester includes program components outlined above. Current families will be given first priority to renew their enrollment before the next semester begins.
